Stephen Siller Foundation Update

Last summer, a group of us went to the Yankees-Red Sox game, which was a Stephen Siller Foundation fundraiser to help pay off the mortgage of Woodmere, Long Island Fire Chief Joseph Sanford, who died in the line of duty on December 23, 2014. Today, the foundation announced that it had paid off the mortgage on the home. This is why we support the foundation.

ENGINE 49 is back and better the ever!!!

Members took advantage of today’s weather to drill with the newly refurbed Engine 49. The Engine was retrofitted to Manuel Valves from electronic valves. We also had the TRIDENT primer added to the pump panel. Drafts like a KING!!! Thank you Blaze Emergency Equipment Company of Pemberton !!

Good demonstration on how the auto prime feature restores an interrupted draft without dropping the pump speed

Hey Chief how come you aren't drafting from the front suction?

Those electric valves were an issue since 49 got the truck when I first joined. Sometimes technology isn’t always better
