Engine 49 responded mutual aid into Princeton at 0245 for an odor of smoke reported by residents on Palmer Square East. Also responding were Captain 66 and Engine 66 (Princeton Plasma Physics Lab). The report was unfounded, but may have been due to a scrap yard fire reported in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Ladder 49 responded mutual aid on the first alarm for an attic fire on Westcott Road in Princeton. The ladder crew stretched a line inside and opened up. While returning, Ladder 49 took in a call for an odor of smoke on Nassau Street.

Station 49 responded to a one-alarm kitchen fire on Ravens Crest Drive on Sunday evening. Also responding were the Plainsboro Rescue Squad, Station 41 (Hightstown), Station 57 (Monroe District 2), Station 44 (Princeton Junction) and Station 23 (Kendall Park). The fire was reported at 1922 and was under control at 1941.

On Monday, Station 49 responded to a one-alarm fire in an industrial fire on Plainsboro Road. A small fire was possibly started by roofing work taking place. Ladder 49, Engine 49 and Tower 49 responded along with an engine from Kingston and a truck company from Princeton Junction and Tower 57 from Monroe as the RIT. Stations 41 and 42 covered Plainsboro. Plainsboro Township EMS, Cranbury EMS and Princeton EMS with their rehab unit also responded due to the high temperature. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Middlesex County Fire Marshall’s Office.
