At 3:47 AM on March 27th, the MJFD was dispatched to Nicholas Court for a machine on fire inside a commercial building. Crews arrived to find a heavy smoke condition throughout the building with fire inside a machine. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and were on location until shortly after 6 AM checking for extension and ventilating the building. Responding to the 2-alarm fire were MJFD Engines 206 & 208, Tower 201, Support 207 and Chiefs 200 & 210, as well as the Jamesburg Fire Department, Kendall Park Volunteer Fire Company, Kingston Volunteer Fire Department #1, and North Brunswick Fire Co. #2. The Brookview Volunteer Fire Company and Plainsboro Fire Company provided coverage at Station 20.

Squad 49 has responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 1 southbound at College Road. The left and center lanes are closed southbound. While all lanes are reported to be open northbound, traffic is reported to be highly congested in both directions.
