Friday, August 22, 2014 On Tuesday evening August 19th the fire company conducted a live burn at the Mercer County Dempster Center. The focus of the class was long hose stretches without a preconnect for garden style apartments that are set back and not easy to access. There are several apartment buildings in Plainsboro in which this training was beneficial to learn from. Members used a 3″ line connected to a high rise pack with a gated Y to get the maximum reach to the fire floor, as well as use a backup line for protection and search.
Thursday, July 3, 2014 Engine 49-1 responded into Lawrence Township last night for a cover at Station 22 while they fought a two-alarm fire on Hughes Avenue.
Wednesday, July 2, 2014 RIT 49 (Rescue 49) responded into Hightstown to a four-alarm fire on Powell Court in Wyckoffs Mill.

Thursday, June 12, 2014 Station 49 responded on a one-alarm fire this morning to the Salt Creek Grille in Forrestal Village and extinguished a small fire in the kitchen that caused a heavy smoke condition in the restaurant. Responding with us on the first alarm were Kingston, Princeton, Cranbury, Kendall Park and Hightstown. Thanks for your response.
