The fire company worked with members of the Hazmat team from Firmenich for their annual drill. Assisting in the drill were Plainsboro Township Rescue Squad, Plainsboro Police, and the Kendall Park Fire Department
As of today, we have raised $1,600 for the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund and Dingman, Pa. Firefighter Chris Plaxe. We expect to add to it, but it’s a tremendous accomplishment. Thank you for your generosity. Thanks to Rob Brown, our car wash coordinator, and to those who participated in the car wash.
In the middle of our car wash, we had an unexpected visit from the beneficiary — Dingman, Pa. Firefighter Chris Plaxe, who was paralyzed in an accident while responding to a fire call, and his family. We were extremely impressed by this courageous young man and his family and honored to have him in our firehouse. Just before we ate, we had a RIT call into East Windsor and Chris wheeled himself onto the apparatus floor and watched Rescue 49 respond..
